The four-song EP presents a dark and infectiously danceable sound that blends rhythms found in traditional cumbia, salsa and merengue music with trilling, psychedelic melodies -- all with a touch of Texas flavor as an homage to their hometown Austin, Texas. Regiomontano transplants will feel the Monterrey vibe running through the melodies and if you listen closely, you’ll pick up the low-end sounds honed in the NOLA jazz scene. This EP represents a fusion of all that makes us who we are. Founding member of Austin cumbia staple El Tule, John Dell says, "the sound is a bit different from traditional cumbia music. It still has the danceability of traditional styles, but the arrangement adds a unique sound we think hits pretty hard on the dance floor."
